Deb Weyrich-Cody:
Deb’s interest in clay started at a very young age. Clay, it seemed, was every where: clay in puddles in the ditches; clay in the bottom of the freshly dug pond; in the rich, red mud on holiday in Prince Edward Island; and, of course, modeling clay at school. Wherever, whenever the opportunity presented itself, there was the irresistible impulse for playing in clay.
Deb has finally been able to follow that impulse as an “adult” and enrolled at Practically Potty Studio in January 2009. Although learning to use the wheel is an important part of her continuing education in clay, hand building is closest to her heart: where exploring the use of natural forms can combine with a humorous twist over all
